1. Same-day dispatch
Stocked items ordered by 3:00pm Eastern on a business day ship the same day. Items shown as available to order are brought in from the manufacturer and typically add two to three business days before dispatch.
A part shown as on our shelf is one we hold. A part shown as available to order is one we can get. We try hard to keep that distinction honest; if we cannot meet a date we have given you, we will tell you rather than let you find out.
2. Freight and who pays it
Orders ship FOB our shipping point. Freight is prepaid and added to the invoice unless you give us a carrier account to bill.
Where an order qualifies for free freight, that applies to standard ground service within the continental United States. Expedited, next-day, air-freight, residential, lift-gate, inside-delivery and call-before-delivery services are charged as incurred.
Oversized and hazardous items — compressors, refrigerant, pressurised cylinders — may ship by motor freight and may carry additional handling charges. We will tell you before we ship.
3. Local delivery and will-call
Local delivery may be available on account within our service area. Will-call orders are held for ten business days; after that we may return the goods to stock and credit the order less any restocking charge.
4. Check your shipment
Inspect every delivery before signing for it. Note any visible damage or shortage on the carrier's delivery receipt at the time of delivery — a clear signature makes a freight claim very difficult to win.
Report any shortage, damage or wrong item to us within 5 business days of delivery, with the order number and photographs where there is damage. Claims made after that may not be recoverable from the carrier, and we cannot credit what we cannot recover.
5. Concealed damage
Damage found after the packaging is opened must be reported within 5 business days of delivery. Keep the carton and all packing material — a carrier will usually inspect before paying a concealed-damage claim, and a discarded carton normally ends the claim.
6. Refused and undeliverable shipments
A shipment refused without cause, or undeliverable because of an address or access problem at your end, is returned at your cost and is subject to the restocking charge in the Terms of Sale.
7. Delivery dates
Any shipping or delivery date we give is an estimate. We are not liable for carrier delay or for any loss caused by late delivery — see the limitation of liability in the Terms of Sale.
